Top 5 teams battle for crown
in Alumni Triangular bowlfest

The top five teams in three divisions will battle for the coveted crown of the 2011 NOHS/BCHS/BCNHS/DLNHS Alumni Triangular Bowling Fellowship Tournament tomorrow at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City .

Domingo Lacson National High School Batch '75 earned the twice-beat advantage in the premiere Class A department, while Bacolod City National High School Class '79 and BCHS ‘72/76 Combine have the same opportunity in category B and C, respectively.

Going up with DLNHS '75 in an up-the-ladder system are Negros Occidental High School '82, NOHS '85, NOHS '73 and BCHS '74.

In class B division, vying for the title with BCHS '79 are BCNHS '89, NOHS ‘84/89 Combine, NOHS '70, and NOHS '68, while NOHS '72, BCHS '73, DLNHS '77 and BCNHS '91 is bracketed with BCHS '72 in class C category.

The fifth placer in each division will play with No.4 in the first game, and the winner will go up versus No.3 in the quarterfinal round for the right to face the No.2 in the semifinals.

Winners will then challenge the top seed for the tournament's title.

Meanwhile, DLNHS '73 won in the consolation round followed by DLNHS '84 and NOHS '67.

Fourth to 15 th placers were NOHS '95, BCNHS '90, BCHS '68, NOHS '80, BCHS '81, DLNHS '96, NOHS Golden, BCNHS '85, DLNHS '92, BCHS '67, DLNHS ‘71/76 and DLNHS '86.

NOHS Class '68 and BCHS '79 claimed the team highest single and triple awards.

Meanwhile, the 20 th Inter-Molasses Bowling Tournament resumes today with JCB Landings – White leading with 6,453 points followed by SVG Ferti-Plus - Blue and Balayan Distillery, Inc.- Red with 6,378 and 6,312 apiece.

Bacolod Astar Transport – Tangerine has 5,906, Progressive Chemical Trade – Apple Green, 5,779, and Matador Primo – Gold with 5,617.

Blue Team holds the highest team single with 588, as Red took the highest triple with 1,667.

Edgar De Leon of Red registered the highest single and triple marks with 157 and 428, while Hernand Garciniego of Blue booked the highest pinning with 92 in the men's division.

Cheryl Ramos of Tangerine established the women's highest single and triple with 119 and 319, while Sylvia Del Rosario in highest pinning with 90.*
