Bacolod City is in the top position in Realty Tax Collections among the cities of Negros Occidental, Maphilindo Polvora, head of the City Assessor's Office, said in a press release yesterday.

City Treasurer's Office head, Annabelle Badajos, reported a total collection of P424.53 million, or 132.46 percent, as issued by the Bureau of Local Government Finance as of December 1, last year, the press release said.

Silay City came in second with P48.55 million, or 130.19 percent, and Victorias came in third with P89.96 million, or 117.96 percent.

In the provincial category, Guimaras ranked first with P119.58 million, or 38.75 percent, Aklan is second with P114.10 million, or 154.14 percent, and Negros Occidental is third with P91.18 million, or 17.03 percent, the press release said.*
