Fight bigger enemy with us

Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr. Saturday reiterated his call to rebels still waging an armed struggle in the hinterlands of Negros to lay down their arms and instead join him in the fight against a bigger enemy, which is poverty.

Marañon issued the call in his speech at a program to celebrate the 113th anniversary of Cinco de Noviembre and to honor five outstanding Negrenses at the Capitol in Bacolod City.

“I reiterate my call to our brothers sacrificing in the mountains amid the hunger and cold to come down and instead help us fight a bigger enemy, which is poverty,” he said.moremoremore
