DAR installs 19 ARBs

The Department of Agrarian Reform recently installed 19 agrarian reform beneficiaries in the agricultural land formerly owned by Ma. Rosa Suatengco in Brgy. Robles,  La Castellana, Negros Occidental, a DAR press release yesterday said.

 A total of 4.8394 has., covered by Certificate of Land Ownership Award No. T-16961, covering lot no. 480-B-2-B-7,  was segregated and distributed to the agrarian reform beneficiaries, it said. The  ARBs will go into collective farming as previously agreed, the press release added. 

Provincial Agrarian Reform Officer 1 Gideon Yongque Jr. led the installation and the official turnover was done by SARPT Betheresa Zamora of DAR La Castellana.

 Also attending the turnover were DAR PIO Gloria Cañonero,   Vicente Patalita, DAR Municipial and Provincial office staff with its survey team led by Elmon Magbato.

 This activity was assisted by the PNP La Castellana led by Senior Inspector Allan Reloj and the Negros Occidental Provincial Police Office men led by Inspector Sherlock Gabana.

Witnessing on the side of the lessee of Suatengco were Humbert Sandoval, Ronald Velasco and Stephen Velasco representing  MIGAN Inc., the press release said.

On the same day DAR Secretary Virgilio de los Reyes was guest speaker at the Visayas Social Action General Assembly in Bacolod City  and attended a conference with DAR Region 6 and DAR Provincial Office heads and selected DAR staff, the press release said.

  He is scheduled to arrive and attend a mass oathtaking ceremony of farmer beneficiaries in Brgy. Tabugon kabankalan soon, it added.*
