Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr. yesterday said he is urging those who have complaints against Provincial Agriculturist Igmedio Tabianan to come out in the open and back their charges so an investigation can be conducted.
If no formal complaint is filed, the anonymous complaint lodged before his office will remain just gossip, he said.
The governor said there is no point in investigating a complaint that is anonymous.
The governor said he is satisfied with the performance of Tabianan but not everybody can be satisfied with one’s work.
Meanwhile, the governor yesterday called on truckers not to overload trucks with cane to avoid accidents and destruction to roads.
He also said a complaint will have to be filed against Don Salvador Benedicto Councilor Oti Bacordo, who is facing charges for illegal possession of a firearm, before the Negros Occidental Sangguniang Panlalawigan so it can make a recommendation on whether he should be suspended or not.
The governor said he will then act on the SP recommendation.
The recommendations of a consultant the provincial government hired for the reorganization at the Capitol is expected to be completed by December.
The governor also said he will review the recommendations to determine the action to be taken.*CPG
