Class ’73, ’62 eye
NOHS bowling title

The championship rounds of the Negros Occidental High School Inter-class Alumni Bowling Tournament in two categories will start today with Class ’73 leading the 14 teams in the premiere Class A division and Class ’62 in Bracket B.

It will be played at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City starting at 5 p.m.

Class ’73, anchored by Edwin Dormitorio, topped the elimination phase with a total score of 5,978 pinfalls while the Jun Garrucho-led Batch ’62 led Class B with 5,453 points.

Clashing with Dormitorio’s bowlers for the coveted crown in the three-Saturday scheduled championship series are Class ’66, Batch ’70, Batch ’85, Class ’72, Class ’82, Class ’89, Class ’71, Class ‘54/56/59, Class ’84, Class ’80, Class ’67, Class ’68, and Batch ’90.

With Class ’62 in bracket B are Class ’58, Batch ’95, Batch ’97, Class ’65, Class ’74, Class ’83, 2000 Up, Mavericks ’67,  Batch ’92, Batch 91, Class ’77, Class ’87, Class ’88, Batch 98, and Class ’75.

After three outings the top four squads will play in an up-the-ladder system on Dec.17 to determine the champion.*HLG
