Victorias vs. Talisay face-off  
in Albee Cup 40-Up semifinals

It will be a do-or-die game between the Talisay City Green Dragons and their host Victorias City when both squads battle for the last final seat in the 40-Up division of the 1st Tercer Distrito Cong. Albee Cup today at 4 p.m.

Simultaneous with the Victorias-Talisay face-off is the winner-take-all match between EB Magalona and Silay City in the Open category, with the Silaynons as host.

The winner between Victorias and Talisay will face unbeaten Silay in the best-of-three series, while the winner between EB Magalona and Silay will dispute the title against Talisay in the open Category.

Earlier, Silay turned back all their rivals in volleyball by capturing the title in both the men and women’s division of the tournament, sponsored by the congressional office of Third District Rep. Alfredo “Albee” Benitez.

Silay won the women's title against host Talisay in three sets. Talisay settled for first runner-up honors while Victorias placed second runner-up, EB Magalona, third runner-up, and Murcia, fourth runner -up.

The Silaynons booked the title in men’s category and relegated Victorias to second place, while EB Magalona placed third, Talisay fourth, and Murcia, fifth place.*NAB
