Two teenagers were shot and one was killed in Siaton, Negros Oriental, Monday by at least five suspects for no apparent reason.

Police reports identified the fatality as Sonny Tangaro, 18, single and a farmer, and his companion as Michael Santo, 16, single, and also a farmer. Both are residents of Barangay Apoloy in Siaton.

The teenagers were reportedly having drinks at the residence of Adding Tangaro, a relative of Sonny, when five men suddenly appeared and fired at them with a gun of unknown caliber, police investigation showed.

Sonny Tangaro died on the spot, while Michael Santo was hit in the waist.

Both were rushed to the Siaton District Hospital. Town police are still investigating the motive and the identity of the perpetrators.*JFP
