Capitol to build classrooms
BY MARICAR ARANAS & JUDY F. PARTLOW

The Negros Oriental provincial government will construct 34 new classrooms for elementary and high schools.

Governor Roel Degamo said he is determined to complete the goal of 34 classrooms, especially for schools that badly need new school buildings.

He said it is part of the commitment of the provincial government to augment the needs of the schools that the Department of Education could not provide.

Degamo recently turned over a two-classroom school building in the Sumaliring High School in Barangay Sumaliring in Siaton town.

The provincial school board appropriated P1.4 million for the cost of the school building.

The governor also vowed to give an additional budget for the construction of a school stage.*JFP/MA
