Even with a twice-to-beat advantage, tournament leaders Amazing ’09 and Bacolod Basketball Club failed to book an early seat in the finals as Akasya Grill and Glitters Production extend the semifinals with separate victories in the recent match-up of the LNA7/USLS Alumni Inter-Barkada Basketball Tournament at the West Negros University gym.

The top four teams clash against tonight to determine the protagonists in the championship showdown.

Akasya Grill spoiled the twice-to-beat advantage of top-ranking Amazing ’09 with an 82-74 decision on October 5 schedule, while Glitters escaped with a 77-74 victory over No. 2 team BBC.

It is all set for the three-day MassKara Invitational Open Trio Bowling Championship 2011 to start Oct.14 at the New Top’s Millennium Plaza Alley in Bacolod City.

Hosted by the Active Solid Strikers Fellowship Bowlers, Inc. in cooperation with the Visayas Alliance of Duckpin Bowlers Association, the open tournament is a six-game series where the top three teams will vie for the top prize in an up-the-ladder system to determine the champion.

The winners will receive P52,000 in cash and trophies in both men and women’s division.
