Dynamic vs Real Negrense
in LPY 9-A-Side fooball tilt

Anything is possible when the game is really for you but it’s the other way around when you are on an off game.

This is what happened after No.3 Real Negrense Football Club (FC) eliminated No.2 Ceres Transport FC while Dynamic Builders FC blanked Trimaxi during the rainy semi-final match of the 2011 Negros LPY 9-A-Side Football Tournament played at the Ayala North point, Sunday.

It was Ceres which started the offensive attacks while Real on the counter.

Ceres got the first corner kick and earned possession just above the penalty area but the try went wide. With the Transport too eager to nail an early goal, they attacked Real’s central defense but latter’s keeper managed to beat the attempt.

The battle for ball possession went on as the Ceres squad kept on attacking Real’s defense but as the Transport pushed in, Real went on a quick counter.

Wendy Castro sprinted towards the Ceres side escaping Transport’s defense by taking a strong strike in the 8th minute from 20 yards left of Ceres’ keeper.

After that goal, disappointment was seen on the face of Ceres’ mentor Nonoy Fegidero who keep on telling his boys to keep their focus on the match as there was enough time left.

While the rains started to fall, Ceres tried to reverse the outcome of the match but they simply missed the goal even on open targets.

On the other hand, Trimaxi almost stunned the tournament leader Dynamic with three consecutive quick attacks from close range but unfortunately, missed all of them.

Dynamic then got Trimaxi’s defense with John Carmona nailing the game’s first goal in the 7th minute of the match from 15 yards as the ball slipped off Trimaxi’s keeper.

Ali Rojas Go then got the ball possession after a scramble and scored his first off an own goal by Trimaxi’s Archie Bayquin in the 24th minute.

Go then tried to get a couple of goals on headers but all were saved by the keeper.

He hit another strong strike from the right side just above the penalty area in the 30th minute that gave Dynamic a 3-nil lead on the break.

In the resumption of the match, Miguel Rivero scored a sealing goal in the 61st minute for a 4-nil win.

The Dynamic – Real championship match will be on Sunday at the same venue after the battle for third between Ceres and Trimaxi.*
