Vice President Jejomar Binay is expected in Negros Occidental on Saturday to meet with business and industry leaders, local government executives and provincial government officials, a press release from Murcia town said.
Murcia Mayor Andrew Montelibano, who is hosting Binay and his family in Bacolod City, said the visit of the vice president is also an opportune time for him and his constituents to thank him for allocating funds for the rehabilitation and expansion of the town’s Senior Citizens Center.
Binay office had given P500,000 for the SCC expansion that will be completed before the group’s October 1 general assembly, the press release said.
Binay will also meet with Negros Occidental Gov. Alfredo Marañon, Jr., and the 32 town and city mayors of the province in a dinner to be hosted by Montelibano at the L’Fisher Hotel, the press release said.
Makati, now headed by Jun Jun Binay, and Murcia has inked a sister-city agreement with Murcia, the press release added.*
