Aug. 20, 21, 27 declared holidays

Malacañang has declared Aug. 20 and 21 as holidays, a government press release said.

Proclamation No. 295 set as national holidays Aug. 20, for the observance of Eid’l Fitr and Aug. 21, Ninoy Aquino Day.

Also declared as holidays are August 27 (National Heroes Day), Oct. 26 (Eid’l Adha).

Other regular holidays, special (non-working) days and special holidays (for all schools) for the year 2012 under Proclamation No. 295 are Bonifacio Day November 30, Christmas Day December 25, Rizal Day December 3, and All Saints Day November 1.

Additional special (non-working) day are November 2 and the Last Day of the Year December 31, the press release said.*
