The Associated Labor Unions-TUCP yesterday urged the government and private employers in calamity-stricken provinces to momentarily impose “flexi-time and flexi-work” arrangements.
This is intended to enable workers to cope with the massive displacements caused by flooding and landslides, a press release from the group said.
Flexi-time and or flexi-work is a working arrangement practice by employers in several countries to allow solo or both parents to attend to their calamity situations, personal needs, or emergency events without neglecting work duties and responsibilities, the press release said.
Kaplan, Riverside partner
for professional exams
The Kaplan Review Center is now in Bacolod City and is accepting enrollees for professional and English exams in partnership with Riverside College-Bacolod.

the center offers study-review programs for National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurse, United States Medical Exam Step 1, Test of English as a Foreign Language internet-based test, International English Language Testing System and the Scholastic Aptitude Test.

Negros Occidental is the official host of the 16th Dairy Congress and Expo to be held in Bacolod City next year, Danilo Fausto, DairyCon national president, said in a letter to Gov. Alfredo Marañon, Jr.
Faustu said this is due to its greatly improved accessibility, upbeat local economy, and unlimited opportunities for trade and investment.
