Grupo Progreso bets
ink ‘proven formula'
BY CHRYSEE SAMILLANO
The Nationalist People's Coalition-Grupo Progreso candidates led by Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia, Vice Mayor Jude Thaddeus Sayson and Greg Gasataya, congressional, mayoralty and vice-mayoralty bets, respectively, signed a manifesto containing their platform of government at the Business Inn in Bacolod City yesterday.
The manifesto contains the group's proven formula of their three- strategy plan – to develop a more highly professional and administrative machinery, fortify and expand the delivery of basic services, and strengthen and expand the foundations for higher economic development.
It said that “Since 2004, when the team took over the city, Bacolod has grown by leaps and bounds and was acknowledged to be among the fastest growing economies in the country. Testimony to this are the many recognitions received by Bacolod since 2004.” |
MKK renews
call for change
BY CHRYSEE SAMILLANO
Pamilya MKK standard bearer Monico Puentevella renewed his call for change and pushed for a new leadership, claiming that the Negros Occidental capital is already lagging behind neighboring cities in the Visayas, during the group's opening salvo last night in Brgy. Villamonte , Bacolod City.
“It's time for change. Time for new faces. Time for renewal. And this is the moment,” Puentevella, a three-term Bacolod congressman, echoed before a cheering crowd at the Barangay Villamonte square.
In Iloilo, one can buy a ticket and can go direct to Singapore and Hongkong, while a cultural convention center worth P500 million is coming up on a donated land, he said, during the opening salvo of the Pamilya MKK or the Magbinuligay Kita sa Kauswagan. |
