SAGAY CITY – “To provide education to every Negrense for them to graduate from high school; be prepared for college and for a career is an essential cornerstone of our reform agenda for education under the Negros First Development Program.”
This was stressed by Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr. when he was conferred an honorary doctorate degree in public administration by the Northern Negros State College of Science and Technology yesterday, during its 14th Commencement Exercises.
“If we want to create an economy built to last, we need to invest in our people. We need to provide every Negrense with a complete and competitive education that will enable them to succeed in the global economy based on knowledge and education,” Marañon said.
