NORECO bloodletting held
BY MARICAR ARANAS

The Negros Oriental 2 Electric Cooperative conducted a bloodletting activity at the Negros Oriental Provincial Hospital in Dumaguete City on its 36th anniversary on April 2.

The blood was donated to the “Dugo Mo, Kinabuhi Ko”, headed by Fr. Antonio Arnaiz, who thanked the NORECO 2, and said there is an increasing need for blood for indigent patients at the NOPH.

The NORECO 2 Employees’ Cooperative also gave P25,000 to Arnaiz’s group, that will be used to buy reagents to screen donated blood. Arnaiz said he hopes the campaign of the electric cooperative will be sustained so more indigent patients can be helped.

NORECO 2 general manager Eunora Sameon said it was the first time the cooperative has conducted such activity to highlight its anniversary, and more activities will be held to support the program and help more poor patients.*MA
