The Organic Village sa Panaad that featured 45 local and organic producers in Negros Occidental generated P614,112.90 in sales during the 20 th Panaad sa Negros Festival last week.
The Don Salvador Benedicto Farmers Association that earned P61,002, was named top grosser in the village, a report from the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist showed yesterday.
Other top grossers were Herbanext that generated P46,926, the United Fishermen Multipurpose Cooperative with P32,219, the Green Organic Enterprise with P28,380, and the Alter Trade Foundation with P25,017.70.

all set for int'l food expo
Twenty-seven local producers from Negros Occidental will join the 2013 International Food Exposition Philippines May 16 to 19 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
Rosemarie Kwan, industry development adviser of Department of Trade and Industry-Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions, said yesterday that they are finalizing preparations and exhibitors have been trained in costing, pricing, and negotiation skills yesterday to maximize their participation at IFEX.
She said IFEX is an international food trade show that aims to make local producers meet partners who can offer long-term business relationships. It will also enable them to display their products at the exposition for local and foreign trade buyers.
