Partylist supporters hit
Comelec for poll tactics
BY LISA GAPAC

Supporters of the Kabataan and Pinag-isang Samahang Tsuper Operators Nationwide partylist in Negros Occidental yesterday slammed the Commission on Elections, claiming that is has no decision yet on its disqualification case against them.

At a rally in front of the Provincial COMELEC Office in Bacolod City, Faye Villanueva of Kabataan Partylist, said the delayed decision is one of its tactics to eliminate their group from the list of partylists, but she believes that they will not be disqualified.

She said Kabataan Partylist is a legitimate party that represents the youth sector. She also said she was dismayed that COMELEC did not file cases against politicians for illegal posting, yet they target the progressive groups.

Diego Malacad of PISTON also said they will continue to fight for the rights of the drivers even if they will be disqualified as a partylist.

They will also continue to monitor oil prices and policies that are not favorable to the drivers, he said.*LTG
