There is no shortage of meat in Negros Occidental and prices of live hogs remained the same at P105 per kilogram, Provincial Veterinarian Dr. Renante Decena said yesterday.
Decena assured local producers and consumers that there is no shortage of pork in the province and the prices remained the same.
He said the supply of swine meat for the province increased by 17 percent this year and many backyard raisers and commercial producers are exporting their products to other provinces like Cebu and Manila.


PUV operators warned
over campaign materials
The Commission on Elections is reminding drivers and operators of public transportation not to post any election campaign materials on their vehicles, Negros Occidental provincial elections supervisor Wil Arceño, said yesterday.
Arceño said revocation of franchise will be the penalty for public utility jeepney, bus, van, and taxi operators whose units display election-related materials like stickers and posters.
He also said the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board is monitoring public transportation, over the matter.


Globe bags ‘innovative' award
