Anti-RH pols invited
to church rally today
BY CARLA GOMEZ

Bacolod Bishop Vicente Navarra yesterday called on the faithful to join a Church-led march rally that starts at 1 p.m. today in Bacolod City to show their resistance to the Reproductive Health Law.

Expected speakers in today's rally are senators Gregorio Honasan and Vicente Sotto III, Zambales Rep. Mitos Magsaysay, Dr. Ligaya Acosta of Human Life International, and a representative from El Shaddai Manila.

“I am inviting the faithful to once again show our resistance to this most evil law…We need the law to be repealed,” the bishop said in a letter sent out to urge Church groups to join the march-rally.

The march to the Bacolod public plaza will start at 1 p.m. from the Capitol Lagoon Park for the north parishes, Sto. Niño Parish at BBB Galo Street for the northeast parishes, Lupit Church for the south parishes and Holy Family Parish at City Heights for the southeast parishes.

All marchers will then converge at the Bacolod public plaza for a rally that will start at 2 p.m. today.

The bishop said the Diocese of Bacolod is in the third year of its stand against the RH Law. “It is an uphill battle but let us encourage one another to continue this fight because we are doing what Christ would have done in obedience to His Father's commandment,” the bishop said.*CPG
