‘Christmas market’ opens Friday

More food and dry goods will be sold at the Christmas Weekend Market sa Kapitolyo, that opens Friday, at the PNB Fountain Area at Lacson Street in Bacolod City, a press release from the Capitol said.

As of yesterday, concessionaires who confirmed participation in the market include Fresh Start Organics, United Fishermen Multi-purpose Cooperative, Ikaw-Ako Japan Negros Partnership for Environmental Protection Foundation, Inc., Ereñeta Foods, Ilirianan Tribal Group, Senior Cocinero, Provincial Tourism Office and the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist.

The Technology and Livelihood Development Center, 303rd Infantry Brigade, OISCA or the Organization of Industrial, Spiritual, and Cultural Advancement, Municipality of Manapla, and Caido del Cielo, are also joining, the press release said.

They will sell organic vegetables, cooked foods, beverages, seafoods, processed meat, agricultural products, accessories, delicacies, and Japanese food.

A garden showcase beside the Negros Occidental Multi-Purpose Activity Center is also part of the activity.

The launching of the Christmas Weekend Market every Friday and Saturday of December, is in line with the continuing effort on tourism promotion under the Negros First Development Agenda of Gov. Alfredo Marañon, Jr. and in sharing the Christmas spirit with the public, the press release said.
