Lopez, Duterte
discuss projects

Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte has invited Bacolod Councilor Carlos Jose Lopez to discuss best practices in environmental programs and exchange ideas on traffic regulation and tourism promotions, a press release from the office of Lopez said.

At the meeting, Lopez expressed his desire to organize a Negros Trade fair in Davao at the city's major festival, it said.

It also said Mayor Rodrigo Duterte gave his support to the Clean River and Coastal Ordinance of Lopez that is being implemented with the Sum-ag river clean-up.

Duterte will donate rubber boats to the city for use in the clean up, the press release said.

He showed Lopez Davao City's traffic system that now employs state-of-the-art technology, the first Intelligent Operation Center Solution for Public Safety in the world, the press release also said.

Duterte lauded Bacolod's plans on environment, tourism and traffic, the three major committees chaired by Lopez and expressed willingness to visit Bacolod soon, the press release from Lopez added.*CGS
