Brgy officials threaten
suit versus OBO chief
BY ADRIAN NEMES III

“Stop the construction or we will sue”

The warning came from three Kagawads of Brgy Alangilan in Bacolod City to officer-in-charge Isidro Sun of the Office of the Building Official yesterday over the alleged continuous construction at the 6-hectare property of the Metro Safari Resort in their barangay without the permits and clearances required from various agencies.

In their letter to Sun, Kagawads Donard Alimpolo, Alex Sausi and Roy Retiza said they are giving the OBO five days to issue a notice of work stoppage to MSR, otherwise, they will be forced to file charges for violation of Presidential Decree 1096, or the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act and Abuse of Authority, against him and “all those people involved in this illegal activity” before the office of the deputy Ombudsman for the Visayas.moremoremore

Bacolod PDAF funds
accounted for: solon

BY ADRIAN NEMES III

Bacolod Rep. Evelio Leonardia yesterday said that the Priority Development Assistance Fund released to Bacolod City from January 2010 to October 2013, when he was still the mayor was only P47.2 million, and not P61.6 million as claimed by Mayor Monico Puentevella.

Leonardia said Puentevella is “obsessed” with discrediting his administration and that is why he is no longer surprised that the mayor changed the figures this time.

He said that, in the end, it will come out that the money given to Bacolod actually went to the institutions and the projects for which they were intended.moremoremore
