| Decomposing body
of ‘Mr. X’ buried
The body of a man in an advanced state of decomposition, that was found in a sugarcane plantation, in Purok Sunrise, Brgy. Mansilingan in Bacolod City, Sunday, was still unidentified up to yesterday afternoon.
Senior Insp. Jose Mulleta, Station 7 chief, described the body to be about 5 feet and 4 inches to 5 inches tall, and wearing only black shorts and slippers.
Officials of Brgy. Mansilingan and the Bacolod City Health personnel buried the body at the Handumanan Cemetery yesterday, Mulleta said.
He said no family members had gone to Station 7 to identify the body, that was discovered lying on the ground at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday by Patricio Allic Jr., of Zone 6, Brgy. Handumanan.
He said there was delay in getting the body from the scene because no funeral parlor picked it up since it was already decomposing, and no family went there to identify the body.
The case is still being investigated.*SGG
