Retro bowlers
capture NSL title

Retro bowlers captured their third straight title this year from the 4 th NSL Non-rated Trio Bowling Tournament that ended yesterday at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.

Retro was also champion of the 2 nd and 3 rd NSL organized event held this year.

The winning team, represented by Iran Pielago, Reymund Lopez, Cero Cordova and Lyndon Reyes, beat Silverado ASSFBi of Cecil Ramon Silverio in a deciding game, 355-339, to win the championship.

Silverado defeated the twice-to-beat champion squad in the first game, 350-348, for the rubber match.

With Silverio in the ASSFBI lineup were Cesar Sumaylo, Orly Guiljon, Rey Boy, Johann Genolos and Romulo Ramos.

Bacolod-Bago Combination led by Ric Abellar was for second runner-up.

The other members of BBC were Ulysses “D'Roadrunner”Pacheco, Cano Gaudite and Carlo Boyero.

LJP Trading/NPBC of Gil Villagante was consolation prize winner, while Bago Strikers, headed by Joel Basiao, was second.

Meanwhile, Bacolod-Bago starter Ulysses “D Roadrunner”Pacheco won in the master bowler competition.

Cecil Silverio holds the highest triple record with 398, while Reymund Lopez and Ulysses Pacheco in single and pinning with 159 and 96 points.

Grupo Retirado, composed of Ely Espatero, Ver Villar, Joe Pahilanga, Nene Bunol and Edwin Monserate was recognized during the awarding ceremony for their support in the year round tournament at the Negros Super Bowling Lanes, despite their age.*HLG
