Team C captures No. 1 spot
in Ayala Basketball Club tilt

Team C beat Team D, 82-69, to take solo leadership after the first round of elimination of the Ayala Basketball Club 3rd Conference at the at the Ayala Clubhouse in Talisay City, a press release from the organizers said.

Team D started strong in the opening minutes of the game, posting an 18-10 lead with JR Rombines delivering eight points.

Team C bounced back in the second canto with Toto Arela and Nilo Lizares combing for 19 points as their team grabbed the momentum and posted a 43-31 halftime advantage, the press release said.

dominate UAAP

MANILA - Far Eastern University looks to dominate Season 76 of UAAP men's football with reigning champion Ateneo de Manila still groping for form and perennial contender University of the Philippines lurking dangerously in the sidelines after the first round of match-ups.

The Tamaraws are on top of the table, thanks primarily to fourth-year striker Jesus Melliza who leads the team with five goals, with a perfect 18 points.

FEU completed the six-game sweep of the first round with a 3-1 beating of De La Salle, which has 9 points on a 3-0-3 record.
