Holiday reunions

It was a night of camaraderie and friendship when the La Salle Integrated School Batch '94 recently held their annual December reunion in Bacolod City.

The batch also held a medical mission in Sagay City, Negros Occidental, organized with their former classmate Arthur Marañon, youngest son of Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr.

The batch's doctors, Fritz Florez, Edwin Miraflor, Karen Dionela, and Mel Serondo, and other doctors in the province and their classmates from Batch '94, rendered free medical services to Sagaynons.

The batch had made history by being the first co-ed batch of the Integrated School. Other doctors in the batch are George Parreno, Duanne Bascon, Kirna Jereza and Rona Tinepre. Those that made it big in the Philippine cinema include Christian Vasquez, award winning directors Lawrence Fajardo, Jun-jun Montelibano, Geran Ordinario, and indie actor Ero Martinez.

Others doing well in their chosen fields are La Salle educator Lyn Giron Ninonuevo, fiscal Albert Arles, lawyers Charisse Hiponia-Marañon, Theodore Garcia, Sheila Lucero, Jonathan Ealdama, bank manager Jinno Garcia, real estate developer Allan Gonzaga, and batch hacienderos Chadd Gamboa, Paolo Severino, Bruce Ascalon, Francis Nicasio, Elbert Yulo, and Allan Gonzaga. Yours truly is also a batch member.

It was a fun and memorable birthday for Gerard Juaquino, who jetted in from Cebu to celebrate his birthday with his family at their Villa Valderama home. Everyone enjoyed the sumptuous buffet lunch held at the family's spacious terrace, overlooking their sprawling garden by the poolside.

Gerard is the grandson of Enrique and Teresita Regalado.*

Demontaño-Garrido
wedding today in Iloilo

Michael Greg Demontaño and Jeisha Marie Garrido will exchange marriage vows at 2 p.m. today, December 30, 2013, at the St. Clement's Church in La Paz, Iloilo City, and the holy matrimony will be solemnized by Fr. Rey Zerrudo.

Michael Greg is the son of Norberto and Berginda Demontaño, while Jeisha Marie is the daughter of Victor and Ma. Concepcion Jesusa Garrido.
