| Negros booters face The University of St. La Salle football team, donning the colors of Western Visayas, will start their bid for the national PRISAA crown today as they face Central Visayas at the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center pitch. Mentored by veteran coach Freddie “Nene” Lazarito, the reigning NOPSSCEA champions will be bannered by Jemuel Ariola, J. Baguioro, Joel Bedia Jr., Anthony Tongson, and Jose Emmanuel Thomas Diel, who all saw action for champion Ceres-La Salle in the PFF – Smart National Club Championship in Manila, two weeks ago. In the absence of teams from the UAAP and the NCAA, observers said the Western Visayas booters have a good chance of bagging the title this year. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
