Two CSC exams set
The Civil Service Commission will conduct the civil service paper and pencil examinations for professionals and sub-professionals on April 14 and October 13, a government press release said.
The exams will establish a registry of eligibles from which certification and appointment to the second and first level positions in the Civil Service will be made, provided the eligibles meet the qualifications and other requirements of the position.
Those intending to take the CS Professional exams will be tested in English and Filipino, vocabulary, grammar and correct usage, paragraph organization, reading comprehension, analogy, logic and numerical reasoning.
The sub-professional exams will cover English and Filipino, vocabulary, grammar and correct usage, paragraph organization, reading comprehension, clerical operations and numerical reasoning.
The passing grade has been set at 80 percent for both exams. The deadline of application for the April exam is on February 28, and August 30 for the October 2013 test, the press release said.
Those who have passed the same level of exams, or a comparable level of exams, like the tests given by the Professional Regulation Commission and BAR passers, and honor graduates, no longer need to apply for the CSC examinations for their eligibilities.
Interested applicants may get the forms at the CSC regional or field office, or download them via www.csc.gov.ph, the press release added.*
