The National Statistics Office-Negros Occidental Provincial Office was declared the Top 9 Best Performing Provincial Office in the recent 2012 NSO Field Awards Night.
It also placed second in the Statistical Operation and Partnership and Linkages Categories, respectively, a Capitol press release said.
Provincial Statistics Officer Fred Sollesta received the plaque of recognition and cash prize in behalf of the NSO Negros Occidental employees at the awards night held at The Legend Hotel in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan during the 2013 National Planning Workshop of the NSO.
The annual Field Awards of the NSO Central Office is an incentive system for its regional and provincial offices that aims to accomplish mandated activities satisfactorily and to conduct programs to support and promote its missions and vision. It centers on efficiency, innovativeness, creativity and productivity of field offices, the press release said.
The 2012 Field Awards covered October 2011-March 2012 as the first rating and April 2012-September 2012 as the second rating periods, respectively.
PSO Sollesta attributed the achievement in the teamwork and hard work put on by the men and women of NSO Negros Occidental, the press release said.* back
