| BJMP NegOr to construct The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology in Negros Oriental has secured a half-million-peso assistance from the Department of Health for the construction of anti-tuberculosis infirmaries in the province. Jail Chief Insp. Rosalina Malahay, BJMP provincial administrator, said the increase of tuberculosis cases in district jails had facilitated the assistance. Of the P500,000, Dumaguete and Bais cities will receive P200,000 each, and Guihulngan City will get P100,000, she said. Malahay said she hopes the construction of treatment rooms will help control the spread of TB. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
