The 83 newly-promoted police officers received their new ranks, in the presence of their wives and children, with the pinning of ranks spearheaded by NOPPO caretaker, Senior Supt. Celestino Guara.

A similar activity also took place at the BCPO headquarters, where 30 policemen were promoted. Senior Supt. Edgardo Ordaniel, the new BCPO officer-in-charge, led the pinning of ranks.

Of the 83 PNCOs, 30 were promoted to Police Officer 2, Police Officer 3 - 34 , Senior Police Officer 1 - 7, Senior Police Officer 2 - two Senior Police Officer 3 – 9 and one to the rank of Senior Police Officer 4.

Supt. Antonietto Canete, former Himamaylan police chief, replaced Supt. Leo Irwin Agpangan as NOPPO deputy provincial police director for Administration, while Supt. Samuel Mina assumed the position of deputy provincial police director for Operations and concurrent NOPPO Operations and Plans Branch chief.

Agpangan and Supt. Remus Zacharias Canieso, predecessor of Mina, are now assigned at the Police Regional Office 6 in Iloilo City.*
