Nine Australian members of the Rotary International paid a visit to the Bacolod City Government Center, Monday, a City Hall press release said.
The Australians are also mission workers who helped conduct HIV vaccinations for 500 patients, influenza injections for children, donated free medicines, 10 computer units to the Negros Occidental IT Center in Bacolod and 40 for Talisay City, the press release said.
They also visited the Cabugwason Multi-Purpose Center that they helped build in previous visits, having visited the province in the past eight years, it added.
This year, their first stop was the Panaad area, then Singcang-airport and Magsungay for the vaccinations, injections, dental treatment and feeding with the members of the Metro Bacolod Rotary Club.
The Australians said they were impressed with the development and progress of Bacolod, Silay and Talisay cities and disclosed that on Friday, they will dedicate a house they built for a family and a 3-room SPED building in Bacolod. They will also donate beds, mattresses and pillows for the deaf and blind of the city, the press release said.* back
