Basecom pounced on Organic Solutions, 90-78, Friday night to register a back-to-back victory and settle on top of the team standings, while Jast Enterprises upset Sweet Crystal, 77-68, in Class B action of the Fil-Sino All Asian Countertrade Inter-Color Basketball Tournament at Bacolod Tay Tung Po Hang Gym.

The win against Organic Solutions came on the heels of Basecom’s dominating 74-55 performance against Royal Trading, Wednesday night, as the team established its superiority against their rivals in Class B with a 5-2 win-loss record.

In taming Organic Solutions, Luigi Coo sizzled with 30 points for Basecom while teammate Nico Yap added 25 points, 21 of them delivered in the first three quarters to give Basecom a 67-65 lead against Organic.

Kieron Tan scored 13 points all in the fourth quarter for Organic Solutions, but it was not enough to stop Basecom’s balanced offensive game with Coo hitting nine points and Atong Villanueva and Yap combining for another nine markers.

RJ Iligan provided scoring support for Coo with 16 points while Villanueva finished with seven points for Basecom.

Organic Solutions, on the other hand, was led by Tan, who delivered a game-high 33 points, while Atty. Joebert Katalbas churned in 19 markers, Beejay Paredes picked up 12 points, and Garret Tabanao chipped in 9 points.

Meanwhile, Jast Enterprises posted its second straight win after starting the tournament with five straight losses.

Jast was in the driver’s seat at the break, 48-39, as Papang Oxinio scored all his 18 points in the first half . John Paul Tan added 12 points, Jerky Ong shot 10 .

Sweet offense were provided by Biboy Uysang, who delivered 14 points and Mark Velez with 9 points.

Sweet Crystal drew closer in the third quarter, 59-62, as Chris Lim made six points, while teammates Uysang, JR Lacson and David Tan scored four points each.

But the Sweet offense sputtered in the final quarter with Richard Uy as the lone bright spot scoring seven of the nine total team points , while Jast countered with Ryan ALegario, Quingco and Tan, to complete the upset win.

Tan finished with 18 points, Quingco and Jerky Ong made 12 points apiece, and Alegario tallied 8 points.

Elder Statesman Uysang showed that he still got hoops as he topscored with 18 points in a losing effort, Richard Uy added 12 points, David Tan and Simon Tan with 8 points each. and Lacson had 7 points.*NAB
