Retro Bowlers prevailed over the twice-to-beat Active Solid Strikers Fellowship Bowlers Inc. to grab the championship in the NSL Non-rated Trio Bowling Spectacle at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City, recently.

The winning team is composed of Iran Pielago, Raymund Lopez, Cero Cordova and Lyndon Reyes, while the first runner-up squad was led by Cecil Silverio with Romulo Ramos, Rey Boy, Cesar Sumaylo, Orly Guiljon and Johann Genolos.

Retro won the final match, 356-350. to grab the tournament’s crown and the top purse.

In their first encounter, Retro defeated ASSFBI, 346-337, to arrange a final showdown.

Seeded No.2 after the elimination phase, the champion team earned the right to challenge ASSFBI by outplaying No.3 seed Flores Team composed of Rene Buenchucillo, Roger Flores, Toto Flores, and Essho Garcia in the semi-finals, 335-326.

Butch Iberio of 69Ner’s was the tournament’s highest pinning record holder with 97, while Iran Pielago registered the highest single and triple with 153 and 380, respectively.

Meanwhile, a two-game Non-rated Trio Fun Derby will be held tomorrow at the same venue.

After two games the top three survivors will play in an up-the-ladder system to determine the champion.

The event is open to all class C bowlers in Negros Occidental. Registration is P600.
