Himamaylan pug Bautista to
join South China tourney
Emerging top amateur boxer Ian Clark Bautista will join Mark Barriga, Mario Fernandez, and Jonel Cantancio in representing the country in the another traditional boxing tournament scheduled June 16 in Southern China.
Bautista will fight in the flyweight division, Barriga would be the representative for the light flyweight, Fernandez for the bantamweight and Cantancio for the lightweight category.
The 18-year-old boxer from Himamaylan made waves two years ago when he beat older and higher-ranked opponents during the 21st President’s Cup in Jakarta.
