Alaska vs. Air 21 in
Antipolo today

League leader Alaska Aces will clash against the unpredictable Air 21 in another out-of-town game of the PBA Commissioner’s Cup at the Ynares Sports Center in Antipolo today.

Alaska coach Luigi Trillo earlier said it will be an uphill climb for them as Air21 is known to play with no letup even when they lost their games.

“Last time we played Air21 last conference, (Mark) Isip hut that turnaround at the buzzer. They beat us real good. And they added Michael Dunigan who completes that team with a post option,” Trillo said in the report posted in the PBA website.

He added that Air21 teems with talent with the additions of Dunigan, Mike Cortez and KG Canaleta, stressing that these guys can play although their record does not reflect of how the team plays in the conference.

Trillo said the Express have been playing well, except that they’re not able to pull through in the end in most of their games.

Air21 had just ended a four-game skid with a 106-94 victory over the Globalport Batang Pier and their new import Walter Sharpe.

Coach Franz Pumaren said that their latest victory eased the pain of their previous losses.

After a triumphant conference debut versus the Barangay Ginebra Kings, the Express dropped their next five assignments against the Talk n Text Tropang Texters, the Barako Bull Energy, the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters, the Petron Blaze Boosters and the Meralco Bolts by an average margin of only 3.6 points.*with a report from PBA.com
