The 3rd Infantry Division of the Philippine Army at Camp Macario Peralta, Jamindan, Capiz has scheduled the Philippine Army Aptitude Test Battery on May 20 to 21, at the Negros Oriental State University Main Campus 1 in Dumaguete City.
The PAATB will be held on May 22 at the Kabankalan City Gym; May 23 to 24 at the Pana-ad Stadium in Bacolod City; May 25 to 26 at the Western Institute of Technology in La Paz, Iloilo City; May 27 at the Dadivas Auditorium, CAPSU Main Campus in Roxas City, Capiz; May 28 to 29 at the 3ID covered court, Camp Macario B. Peralta, Jamindan, Capiz; and May 30 at the Banga covered court in Banga, Aklan.
The required qualifications can be viewed at the Philippine Army recruitment website at http://www.army.mil.ph.
Those who intend to take the Officer Candidate Course must be prepared to undergo one full year of rigorous training in soldiery and leadership. Upon completion, the candidate will be commissioned by the President as 2nd lieutenant in the regular force.
To qualify, an applicant must be 21 to 24 years old, a Baccalaureate degree holder, single Filipino citizen, and physically and mentally fit.
For the Officer Preparatory Course, an applicant must be 21 to 31 years old, a graduate of the Probationary Officer Training Course with a rank of 2nd lieutenant in the Reserve Force, single, a Filipino citizen, and physically and mentally fit.
Qualifications for Candidate Soldier Course are as follows: 18 to 26 years old, high school graduate, must be 5 feet tall, and physically and mentally fit.
For Probationary Officer Training Course, an applicant must be at least 21 years old, college graduate and an advance Reserve Officer Training Course graduate.
Interested applicants are required to bring 2x2 ID, birth certificate (National Statistics Office), transcript of records, college diploma, ballpen and pencil.
Additional requirements for high school graduate applicants are Form 137 and skill certificate (TESDA).
Female applicants should have at least 72 units in college.*CGS
