Senator Cynthia Villar and several senators are expected at a public hearing on bills to strengthen the sugarcane industry to be held at the Sugar Regulatory Administration social hall in Bacolod City 10:30 a.m. today.

The hearing will be conducted by the Senate Committee on Agriculture and Food with the committees on Government Corporations and Public Enterprises; Ways and Means; and Finance.

To be heard are Senate Bills . 233, 592, 824 and 1229 – on strengthening the development of the sugar cane industry.*
