Multi-sectoral representatives offered prayers and flowers at the memorial service for road traffic victims and survivors, and also for those who are affected by the recent typhoon at the celebration of the 8th World Day of Remembrance at the Provincial Capitol Park yesterday morning.
The affair was spearheaded by the Province of Negros Occidental and Project CARES in collaboration road safety proponents and stakeholders, a press release said.
It started with an early morning mass at the Cathedral, followed by a walk to the Capitol grounds for the solemn observance that was capped by the playing of taps by the NOHS brass band.
The Provincial Capitol Employees Choir performed during the candle lighting, floral offering and prayer ceremonies joined by the families of road victims, the police, GSP, BSP, students, NGOs and other volunteer groups, the press release said.* back
