Italian comedian hit
BY CARLA GOMEZ

A protest  has been aired against a gag by Italian comedian  Paolo Bonolis that allegedly desecrated the Philippine national anthem and made  Filipinos  a laughing stock on his show.

The protest came from Dr. Violeta Gonzaga  who said that,  at the height of super typhoon Yolanda, Bonolis, on his show in  Italy, wore a black wig, held a rag, placed it on his chest and mockingly  sang the Philippine National anthem.

The Filipino National Anthem is sacred to Filipinos and its last line states that, we are willing to die for our nation, she said.

The gag appeared on the  evening program of Bonolis on Channel 5  in Italy.

However, the video that was posted on YouTube was no longer available last night because of a “copyright claim”.*CPG
