Ceres beats Laos, 6-0

Ceres FC continued to make waves in the national football scene as the Bacolod-based squad blanked Laos FC, 6-0, in Group A of the United Football League Cup at the Emperador Stadium in Mckinley Hill in Taguig.

It was a combination of local talent and Korean reinforcement as Jayson Panhay scored two goals for Ceres (17th and 36th) and Angelo Marasigan connected in the 79th minute, while Jin Ho Kim (24th and 87th) and Hwas Seo Park (penalty goal, 86th) accounted for the three other goals.

Ceres will face Army next on October 26 and Pachanga on October 29 as they strengthened their bid to advance into the Round of 16 in the UFL Cup.

The team debuted in the UFL on October 12 with a 6-2 win over Manila Jeepney.*NAB
