Host Lopue's Table Tennis Association had a 1-2 finish in the men’s division while its women’s team settled for second and fourth place honors in the 6th Lopue's National Table Tennis Open held March 28 – 30 in Bacolod City.
Richard Gonzales, Celjun Ortalla and Mark Francis Jimenez of LOPTTA Team A dominated the men’s team event with a clean sweep of their opponents during the elimination round to gain a twice-to-beat advantage in the final against LOPTTA Team B composed Rodel Valle, John Paul Gubaton and Angel Cuenca Jr.
| Iloilo holds 1st Bike Festival Almost a thousand bikers from Iloilo and nearby provinces joined the “City Fun Ride", the highlight of the weeklong 1st Iloilo Bike Festival held at the Megaworld's Iloilo Business Park in Mandurriao District, a press release from organizer said. With Sen. Franklin Drilon, Iloilo officials led by I Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog, vice-mayor Joe Espinosa III, and congressman Jerry Treñas with the environmental advocates and Megaworld executives, participated in the 25-kilometer bike ride that started from the Iloilo Business Park to different areas in the city. | ABS CBN Sports to replay Fans of the country’s premiere off-road triathlon event, the Vaseline Men XTERRA Off-road Triathlon Series, can watch the highlights of this year's race on television on April 6 at 9 pm at ABS CBN Sports + Action,formerly Studio 23, a press release from the organizers said. The Vaseline Men XTERRA Off-road Triathlon was held for the third time in Liloan town in Cebu with local and foreign participants joining the race. The Vaseline Men XTERRA Off-road Triathlon Series in the country serves as one of the qualifying events for the World Championship. |
