The Sandiganbayan Fourth Division has denied the motion for review or judicial determination of probable cause in the case of the alleged anomalous procurement of overpriced computers for more than P25 million, with the Priority Development Assistance Fund of then congressman Monico Puentevella, and has ordered warrants of arrests to be issued against the accused.
Puentevella, who had already posted bail during his recent arraignment, is not included in the warrants.
The criminal case was filed against Puentevella and Victoriano Tirol, Jr. of the Department of Education, and supplier Jessie Garcia, chairman of Merryland Publishing Corporation, after the Ombudsman found probable cause to indict them for acting in violation of R.A. 3019, or the Anti Graft and Corrupt Practices Act. |
