Ceres-La Salle Football Club last night overcame a slow start to nip Airforce FC, 2-1, and post win No. 11 on its third match in the Second round of UFL's Division 2 at Nomads Sports Club in Paranaque.
Ceres' Kyum Som Chu equalized Airforce booter Ian Araneta's icebreaker in the first half with fellow Korean Jin Ho Kim sealing the win for the Negros-based players in the second canto.
Air Force forged a 1-all draw with the Ceres-LaSalle XI in their first-round encounter in January.
With the loss, Airforce now touts an 8-1-5 win-draw-loss scorecard and is now running between fourth and fifth place in the 12-team league.
Ceres ' next match will be on April 26, when it hopes to avenge its first-round loss to third-running Laos, which handed the local team a 1-0 setback.*
