The sound of music
The Rose group of the Negros Occidental Garden Club recently hosted their yearly club meeting, on the theme “Sound of Music,” the 1965 American musical film , directed and produced by Robert Wise , and starring Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer .
Tess Aplaon portrayed the role of the young woman, who leaves an Austrian convent to become governess to the seven children of a naval officer widower. The “Sound of Music” contains several popular songs, including " Edelweiss ", " My Favorite Things ", " Climb Ev'ry Mountain ", " Do-Re-Mi ”, and the title song, " The Sound of Music ", that the group sang during the presentation.
Viol Caram performed the role of the youngest daughter of Plummer. The other cast members were Nelly Jamora, Luz Sencio, Greg Yusay, Yolly Vidad, Lily Go and Vickie Sherratt, who all wore in the 60s costume for the occasion.*
