A teenager was killed and a man was injured in shooting incidents in barangays Bata and Vista Alegre in Bacolod City, Friday and yesterday.

Insp. Larry Teovisio, Station 3 deputy chief, said BJ Batorito, 18, of Brgy. Bata, sustained a lone gunshot wound on his chest, and was declared dead on arrival at the Dr. Pablo O. Torre Memorial Hospital, at about 9:46 p.m. Friday.

Police investigation showed that Batorito was shot by Leonard Steve Napalingga, 28, over a misunderstanding in Purok 3, Brgy. Bata, at about 9:30 p.m. Friday.

Teovisio said it was the father of Batorito and Napalingga who featured in commotion earlier.

Meanwhile, Denver Zamora, 21, of Brgy. Handumanan in Bacolod, was hit by a bullet at about 12:30 a.m. yesterday at the Dancing Hall of the Arao Relocation Site in Brgy. Vista Alegre, the police said.

Zamora was shot on the right knee by still unidentified suspects and was brought to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital, police records show.*SGG
