Moises Padilla U11 stops USLS;
Cadiz, Bago stay unbeaten in U13

City-based teams bowed to their counterparts from the countryside as Moises Padilla Elementary School beat University of St. La Salle in the U11 division, while Cadiz City West ES routed Andres Bonifacio and Bago City ES beat La Consolacion College in the U13 division of the Dynamic Football League 2 nd Conference at the Panaad pitch, Saturday.

Bouncing back from a 1-5 opening day loss to Trinity Christian School, Moises Padilla surprised USLS with a 3-2 win Saturday to hand the tournament's top seed its first setback while getting into the win column.

Trinity surged to its second straight victory by blanking University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos, 8-0, while Don Bosco Technical Institute showed its dominance over Montevista, 4-0, to share the 2-0 win-loss card. St. John's Institute's 5-3 win over Bata ES completed Saturday's results in the U11 competition.

Pastors win
Friendship Games

The Pastors Team prevailed against the Priests Team, 12-9, in the second encounter of their best-of-three game series to capture the championship in the Friendship and Unity Games Table Tennis organized by the Lopue's Table Tennis Association in Bacolod City.

Carrying the banner for the champion team are pastors Jude Pimentel, Dino Sagadal, Rayman Villanueva, and Joel Valdez with veteran paddler George Jimenez as reinforcement.

The priests' team is composed of Frs. Nick Melicor, Jesmar Manato, Raymon Asoy, and Sam Balboa with ace player Carlitos Orola completing the lineup.

The tournament adopted the race to 12 format with the members from both teams playing in singles and doubles matches..

Drivers Cup cagefest
kicks off in Silay City

The 6th Mayor Oti Driver's Cup 2014, a basketball tournament in Silay City, opened Friday at the Natalio G. Velez Sports and Cultural Center, a press release from the Silay city hall said.

Seeing action in the tournament are 22 teams from the different tricycle and pedicab drivers' association in the city.

The opening ceremony started with a parade of the participants from the City Hall to the gym followed by a program with Mayor Jose Montelibano and other city officials as guests.
