Three young taekwondo jins from the Bacolod City-based NTU Tigers brought home gold medals from the Milo Little Olympics Visayas Qualifying Tournament held at the Ateneo de Cebu over the weekend.
         
Jamie Hanna Agaloos, Davon Pecha, and Caroline Dean Espinosa prevailed over their opponents in the championship round to reign in their respective category.
         
Agaloos, a student of Tangub Christian Academy, won the gold in Group 1 of the gradeschool girls’ division, while Pecha of ETCS I, topped the grade school boys’ Group 2..

KMH to defend No. 1 spot
in SCOOP bowling tourney

Kami Mga Hubin/Boysen bowlers will try to defend their lead, and  Active Solid Strikers Fellowship Bowlers Inc. to improve its record  in the 2014 Sports Communicators of the Philippines Non-Rated Trio Bowling Extravaganza that resumes tonight at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.

With three more rounds, KMH and ASSFBI are fighting for the No. 1 spot and the twice-to-beat incentive in the finals with 30 pins between  the two.

KMH, managed by Christian Yu has 4,815 points while ASSFBI, of  Ulysses “Road runner” Pacheco, has 4,785 points..

PRISAA board to discuss
2015 nat’l games in Iloilo

The Private Schools Athletic Association Board of Trustees will meet on August 8 at the John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University in Iloilo City to discuss  preparations for the 2015 National PRISAA in Iloilo.

The national board and trustees will also conduct ocular inspection of venues, check local preparation of the organizing committee, and get updates from host-region, PRISAA national chairman Emmanuel Angeles said.

Expected to attend the meeting are the PRISAA presidents or their representatives,  from 17 regions..
